Dong has had little practice at the professional level, but her junior results are impressive for such a young age. She can already beat older opponents of a comparable rating, which is an encouraging indicator at this stage of the season.
Katsumi is a little older, but she has very little experience on the ITF tour. She did not dominate rather weak opponents even this season, which casts doubt on the prospects in this tournament.
Dong is progressing every month, and the tournament is her home, so a victory against Katsumi will not be some kind of surprising circumstance.
