Shamrock Rovers has regained its status as the strongest team in Ireland over the past 10 years. Now the only thing the team lacks is getting into European competitions (the last time it happened in 2010). But Shamrock Rovers have a good chance in the Conference League. Moreover, they succeed in the national competition, and they can fully concentrate on European competitions.
Hibernians have qualified for European competitions for quite a long time, but the team has only got into the second round twice over the past 20 years (and even then because they played against teams from Liechtenstein in the 1st round).
We do not think the Irish will have great difficulties at home with the team from Malta.
