Lada has had a poor start to the new season so far, with only 10 points in 13 games, with such results the club from Togliatti risks being without a playoff spot. Although, perhaps, last season, which was the debut season for the team in the KHL, was an exception to the general rules.
Siberia, on the other hand, is showing a very confident game at the start of the season - 16 points and 3rd place in the Eastern Conference, and in recent games the team was able to confidently beat Ak Bars and Avtomobilist, the clear favourites in the KHL.
Sibir, given the form of the teams, nominally looks the favourite today, but we still think betting on the total is safer, as Sibir is scoring the most goals in the KHL, but also conceding an inexcusably high number of pucks, which may well be taken advantage of by Lada, which also has already had a couple of goal extravaganzas this season.
