Atlético Madrid is experiencing an inconsistent run: defeats of Barcelona (4-0) and Betis (5-0) were followed by a 3-0 defeat to Rayo Vallecano and a draw with Levante. Simeone's team is traditionally strong in attack, but has struggled defensively in recent matches, conceding goals in three of its last four matches. In the Champions League, the Madrid side has also been prolific.
Given Club Brugge's attacking style at home, Atletico's defensive instability and the need for both teams to play to win, over 2.5 goals looks the most likely outcome.
