The fight in the Atlantic Division for the last playoff spot is going to be very tight, as 4 teams are fighting for the 4th spot at once. So far, Ottawa holds that 4th spot in the division, but the gap from the chasers is only 3 points. One of those pursuers is Detroit, who is in terrible shape right now with 5 straight losses. Of course, any series in the NHL ends, but we don't think it will happen today, as Ottawa is in more decent shape and plays more confidently on the ice of Canadien Thayer Centre.
